Halloween is on a Saturday this year – for the first time in who knows how long (probably calendars) – and I have really struggled to get into the spirit this year! Have you? I am one of those “Halloween season starts in September” people usually, but this year with no promise of going to a Halloween party any time soon I’ve been finding other ways to celebrate Halloween at home.
It’s not like I need an excuse nowadays to get a massive Lush order in. I spend about half my time in bed or in the bath nowadays since I’ve had the excuse not to go anywhere. Lush Halloween is just an excuse for me to buy a heck load of things that match my all year round aesthetic. So here’s a rundown of what I bought and what I thought! (Oh look, a little Halloween rhyme. You can ‘av that one for free.)
I planned to write a ton of Halloween themed posts this October, but I’ve been so busy making those Halloween plans that I’ve not managed to write a single one! Instead, I thought I’d share the ways I’ve been getting into the spirit of Halloween and managed to make it last all throughout October.

It’s no easy feat to cook up the perfect Witches Brew. Many of you will never master the exact art of creating the delicate concoction of flavours. It takes skill, finesse and just a dash of magic to create. That is why this witch took a trip to Bubble Boba Coventry, to get some tips from the master creators this Halloween! Get your grimoires at the ready and start taking notes, witches and warlocks!
If you hadn’t guessed from my previous posts, I absolutely love Halloween, and try to theme my whole October around it! Me and my friend Lizzie always have blogging days – just one super productive day per month where we can focus and bounce ideas off one another. However this time, we decided to extend it into a Halloween sleepover! We stayed up late, watching Halloween themed movies and enjoyed loads of Halloween snacks!
I know I am not the only one who starts celebrating Halloween by the start of October, and is just dying to start prepping Halloween blog posts! The aesthetic is one I dabble in all year round, and I really love to go all out for Autumn. It’s my favourite time of the year and I am lucky enough to have a beautiful place to write (above) where I can enjoy the last of the warm days of the year.
Here are just a few things I have planned for October that you can expect from me. Eek, I am so excited I could scream!
I don’t tend to have a favourite time of year but as it starts to get colder and the jumpers come on, it’s time for Halloween! I absolutely love the Halloween aesthetic and I tend to wear a lot of black all year round… Part of me wishes I was more stylish and can rock a dedicated Halloween outfit (that isn’t a pumpkin) but until then I’ll just review these Japan Crate Halloween goodies!
I don’t tend to do the same type of thing twice on my blog (at least so far) and I’ve reviewed a Japan Crate before. But I just HAD to share how frigging cool this latest Japan Crate was. This month is was the Halloween special and all the items in the box were themed to suit- every single one.
