It is with much anticipation that I wait in the Old Grammar School in Coventry to celebrate the release of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein at the Belgrade Theatre. Along with the cast from Nightmares and Nibbles, we settle down to chat about where they draw their inspirations and how they feel about the characters they play.
Those of you who have been following for me for a long time, (waves to that one guy way at the back of the room), may remember when I wrote my post last year about the best geeky things to do in Coventry. I am happy to say that since then, my list has expanded!

I had the absolute pleasure of organising and partaking in the first ever Bubble Tea Master Class with Bubble Boba UK* who treated my blogger pals and I to an exciting Easter experience where we learned how to make bubble tea!
My new favourite nerd heaven, Fantayzia Designs, invited me to play with their retro games consoles and check out their nostalgic treasures. I sat for a few hours and have to say it’s now my absolute favourite for nerdy nostalgia and creations at FarGo Village, Coventry.
For me, Christmas isn’t about “hauls”… It’s about giving back, and trying to spread a little joy! So for my Christmas countdown I’ve decided to promote some of my favourite Coventry local businesses and beyond in my new Geeky Christmas Countdown!

If you hadn’t guessed from my previous posts, I absolutely love Halloween, and try to theme my whole October around it! Me and my friend Lizzie always have blogging days – just one super productive day per month where we can focus and bounce ideas off one another. However this time, we decided to extend it into a Halloween sleepover! We stayed up late, watching Halloween themed movies and enjoyed loads of Halloween snacks!
You may recall my recent post about the Herbert Art Gallery and it’s amazing hidden Medieval Undercroft, that I had the pleasure of visiting. My friend Dom, who is a historian offered me an exclusive tour and then we spent the rest of the afternoon wandering around the area and ended up in the Holy Trinity Church.
You often do not realise the beauty that lies right before you. My friend from Switzerland for example, hardly ever took pictures of the beautiful mountains and landscapes that surrounded him until I looked at them in awe when I visited.
This weekend, I took the time to look at just how beautiful and historic Coventry was, and saw things I hadnt noticed until I looked at it with such tourist-like focus. I have always been proud of my city; it’s something that’s kinda instilled in us Coventrians but most of my pride lay within it’s latest developments and not it’s history.
