This four-day festival aimed to commemorate the Pendle witches who were tried and killed in Lancaster in 1612, as hysteria and panic toward ‘witches’ rose. These women, and men, were not allowed to be mourned for; their whole families were eradicated in some cases, so we gathered to learn about them, remember them and in doing so heal and learn new things about ourselves and our connection with other women.
I wanted to put together a list of witchy essentials since I started my practice – so here it is finally! As I’ve gathered witchcraft essentials, components and tools, I have realised that all of it was new to me when I first started and I could have done with a list to show me what the priorities are!
I only had tickets to one day of the Coven of Gaia festival this May… and guess which one it rained on! Despite the showers I had an absolutely incredible time at the workshops. One of these days, I will be able to attend a few rituals too!
Just a really short post from me today because I am feeling really happy and elated! I went to my first coven meeting today for Beltane and it made me feel a part of the pagan community for the first time!
Elaborating on my previous post from Coven of Gaia festival, I wanted to focus in on how I felt during my first experience with a feminine energy drum circle, and also reach out to the leader of the circle, Melonie Syrett aka “The Drum Woman” to understand what it means to be a part of and lead these powerful feminine spaces.

After the success of the May festival, I decided to head to the September Coven of Gaia festival with my wonderful witchy friend, Erin – this time with a full weekend ticket!
As the Autumn Equinox is almost upon us, I thought I’d take some time to reflect on what it means for me and what I plan to do to welcome the new season.
