Being creatively confident in my writing / blogging, happened through 3 major epiphanies in the last year. I felt like I was drowning in my hometown – although the opportunities to write were growing, so was the blogger community and often I feel a bit overwhelmed by it all!
There’s always this “Am I good enough?” feeling. So I’ve decided to tackle it head on!
Those of you who have been following for me for a long time, (waves to that one guy way at the back of the room), may remember when I wrote my post last year about the best geeky things to do in Coventry. I am happy to say that since then, my list has expanded!
Nerdy bits and pieces are popping up everywhere – here are but a few of them.
Treetop Adventure Golf (Leicester, Highcross) kindly invited me to their launch party this June and oh boy, we had a great time! Read on for a full review…
Disclaimer: This was a free launch party event so I didn’t have to pay for anything, but read on to find out more about why it’d be worth every penny!
Muggle Musings is coming to an end this weekend and it’s broken my heart a little bit, but I know deep down that it’s for the best. It’s been the most brilliant thing ever, running my own discussion group and getting to know such a wonderful group of people. I feel I’ve learned so much during such a short time so I wanted to share it with you.
You know how I’ve got a LITTLE bit of a pin-badge obsession? (Don’t we all nowadays?) Well I had the absolute pleasure of interviewing a maker of pin badges, glitter necklaces and earrings, BekBekMakes. A Coventry local, a mum and a maker – find out how she started off her creative career with a bang!
Disclaimer: Contains images of gifted products given to me after the fact!
As always opinions are 100% my own!
You might get into the feeling that you can’t cosplay a certain thing because you’re plus size, so I wanted to try and find the best plus size cosplay around – not necessarily because they’re plus-size characters (like Ursula or The Queen of Hearts) but showing you can do the characters justice, regardless!
Let me launch right in by writing about some of the amazing small businesses that I met at FarGo Village Vegan Festival last weekend. FarGo hosted their bi-annual vegan fair which is always a massive favourite of mine – I make a point of going there to support the tenants and FarGo themselves as much as possible.
What better way to learn more about your favourite independent bookshop than to talk to the owner! The person who created a wonderful writing haven for me – the genius (?) behind it all…
I wanted to do a little bit of a life update as I’d not done one for a while! Also last weekend me and some of my favourite nerds went to a Harry Potter Supper Club and Quiz in Coventry, so I thought I’d write about that too. Because why not?
This post is about a gifted experience courtesy of Bubble Boba UK – Coventry.
So many of us are obsessed with Bubble Tea nowadays but not so many of us take the time to figure out where it comes from, how it’s made and what it contains! I had the absolute pleasure of organising and partaking in the first ever Bubble Tea Master Class with Bubble Boba UK* who treated my blogger pals and I to an exciting Easter experience where we learned how to make bubble tea!
