It’s no easy feat to cook up the perfect Witches Brew. Many of you will never master the exact art of creating the delicate concoction of flavours. It takes skill, finesse and just a dash of magic to create. That is why this witch took a trip to Bubble Boba Coventry, to get some tips from the master creators this Halloween! Get your grimoires at the ready and start taking notes, witches and warlocks!
If you hadn’t guessed from my previous posts, I absolutely love Halloween, and try to theme my whole October around it! Me and my friend Lizzie always have blogging days – just one super productive day per month where we can focus and bounce ideas off one another. However this time, we decided to extend it into a Halloween sleepover! We stayed up late, watching Halloween themed movies and enjoyed loads of Halloween snacks!
I’ve been blogging for almost 2 years now… but something has been niggling at me for a while. I often get approached by random companies who would like me to copy and paste content into my blog. Let it be on record that I would rather not write anything at all, than fill my blog with vapid nonsense.
Sometimes, yes, that means I’ve skipped posting on schedule, and sometimes I could have taken the easy way out! But I like to think I’ve got a modicum of integrity. I’ve noticed and discussed with friends recently that there is an ever growing amount of Zombie Bloggers. We just keep wondering, why do people have such a bad attitude towards bloggers and influencers? Well, this could be part of the problem…
Disclaimer: This is not for bloggers who are easily offended. Sorry, not sorry.
I know I am not the only one who starts celebrating Halloween by the start of October, and is just dying to start prepping Halloween blog posts! The aesthetic is one I dabble in all year round, and I really love to go all out for Autumn. It’s my favourite time of the year and I am lucky enough to have a beautiful place to write (above) where I can enjoy the last of the warm days of the year.
Here are just a few things I have planned for October that you can expect from me. Eek, I am so excited I could scream!
I find it difficult, to believe in fate amongst the chaos but sometimes things fall so well into place that you it makes you wonder… What’s the cause? What if something along this path had changed and it sent me another way? It’s so strange to think of this butterfly effect – that there were a series of small seemingly unimportant events that changed my world, piece by piece.
I am absolutely terrible at sticking to deadlines. I cannot believe that I produced a 2 year bucket list, “30 Before 30” and I’m not even half done with less than a year left! I feel like things got on top of me over the summer and my time management has just gone.
I like to fill my time as much as possible, and when I am finally alone, I feel so exhausted I’m not productive. When I manage to produce a blog post it’s usually last minute or overdue, and I never meet my self-imposed deadlines. But… maybe that’s okay.
Welcome to Part 2 of my guide on Where to start with Anime! Well done for making it this far. If you missed the first instalment then go back to Part 1 HERE for the Dramatic and the Dark ones.
Depending on your mood, something intense might not be where you’re at. Sometimes, you might just want a good cry, or a laugh, or something entirely lighthearted.
This list is just for you.
Spoiler: It doesn’t.
Some people believe in astrology, and that’s fine… If you like that sort of thing. A feeling that fate is acting on you in some way. Or there’s some higher power that’s watching over you. Or your Hogwarts letter got lost in the post… whatever you like to believe! But please…
One day, quite a few years ago now, I turned to the one I loved at the time and said, “I feel unpretty today.” I felt rubbish about myself and thought I didn’t look nice. Perhaps I felt a bit ugly in what I wore. Perhaps I had a spot on my face that day, or my hair wasn’t playing ball. Mediocre worries about minute things.
I often lose track of what’s important in my busy daily life – something we can all be guilty of. I hyper-focus on things which are meaningless, fill my life with STUFF and don’t spend enough time looking at the world around me with intrigue. So, this year my Summer Wishlist is a pretty short one…
