I don’t always do a spontaneous off-schedule post, but when I do, you know it’s because something is amazing and I just HAVE to share it with you! I have just finished watching the first series of ‘Sex Education’ on Netflix and my gosh, it was super refreshing and definitely worth your time. Here’s why…
If Muggle Musings has taught me anything, it’s that you need to know where you stand in the Harry Potter Universe. How would you act in certain situations? What house would you be in? What better way to find out than doing a little Harry Potter Personality Quiz!
I think we’ve established many times that I am super awkward when it comes to being put in front of a camera. I envy some of my friends to whom it comes naturally – watching them swing around at their professional photoshoot, laughing and posing. They make it look so easy but then suddenly it’s my turn… and I freeze like a rabbit in head-lights.
People often say “Oh wow, this year has flown. I can’t believe it’s almost over.” But for me, this feels like the longest year in existence. It’s been an absolute roller-coaster of a year, where I’ve gone through minor breakdowns, major breakthroughs, had some self-doubt, learnt self-love, sought out new things and cherished some of the old.
I feel like (partly down to blogging) this has been my richest year yet – one with many happy memories and some not so good, but ultimately I’ve come out of it a different person. So here is my A-Z of 2018. I hope you take the time to read it, because seriously, it’s been a wild ride.
One thing which people might not realise about blogging is the importance of the pictures! I am usually very… scruffy. I rarely dress up for anything unless there’s a photo-shoot involved because I am super lazy, but sometimes even when I am dressed to the nines… I have to battle with my EPIC awkwardness. I feel bad for any person who has ever tried to get a good photo of me. They must have the patience of saints, because for every good picture there about 10 where I am awkward as hell.
Bubble Boba UK invited me to sample from ANY of their array of warm winter drinks. How could I possibly say no? I tried their Halloween drink a few weeks ago and it’s not often I do collaborations with a brand so quickly in succession but for this, I made an exception!
Bubble Boba UK* also gave me an exclusive off-menu trial drink just to tell all of you PLUS they have a new Christmas Winter Waffle which is the cutest! Just take a look at this…
As part of my 30 goals before I am 30, I made a pact to try out some mindfulness techniques. It only took 1 and a half years, a minor breakdown and lots of self-intervention to make a start! Hooray! So, obviously I am not the authority on mindfulness, but this is more of a… beginner’s experience.
I have had little to no luck when it comes to mindfulness and I’ve heard that it can be a struggle. For me it’s nearly impossible – I actually took a day to myself where I could do nothing, alone, and lasted well… you can see for yourself.
It’s no easy feat to cook up the perfect Witches Brew. Many of you will never master the exact art of creating the delicate concoction of flavours. It takes skill, finesse and just a dash of magic to create. That is why this witch took a trip to Bubble Boba Coventry, to get some tips from the master creators this Halloween! Get your grimoires at the ready and start taking notes, witches and warlocks!
If you hadn’t guessed from my previous posts, I absolutely love Halloween, and try to theme my whole October around it! Me and my friend Lizzie always have blogging days – just one super productive day per month where we can focus and bounce ideas off one another. However this time, we decided to extend it into a Halloween sleepover! We stayed up late, watching Halloween themed movies and enjoyed loads of Halloween snacks!
I’ve been blogging for almost 2 years now… but something has been niggling at me for a while. I often get approached by random companies who would like me to copy and paste content into my blog. Let it be on record that I would rather not write anything at all, than fill my blog with vapid nonsense.
Sometimes, yes, that means I’ve skipped posting on schedule, and sometimes I could have taken the easy way out! But I like to think I’ve got a modicum of integrity. I’ve noticed and discussed with friends recently that there is an ever growing amount of Zombie Bloggers. We just keep wondering, why do people have such a bad attitude towards bloggers and influencers? Well, this could be part of the problem…
