May Update: Burn-Outs and Having a Break for Bubble Tea

Just a quick update from me today. Recently, I’ve not been feeling 100% – all my strength has gone, all my fire has burnt out, my self-esteem has plummeted. I’ve been working too hard, and not on the right things that make me happy. That’s why I’ve decided to focus my efforts solely on things which bring me joy… like ALL the Bubble Tea.

Do you like Pina Coladas?

I love that my life is so busy, but I think in May and June I’m going to focus on things I want to do rather than piling my calendar full of events because of my FOMO (fear of missing out). Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE being busy… I feel like my life is empty if I don’t have at least a few things to do each week after work… but recently I’ve been so tired! It’s catching up with me, and I’ve been burned out.

But that’s okay, because Bubble Tea ALWAYS brings me Joy!

Wednesday will be the second bubble tea party that Bubble Boba will host with me- this time with a whole new group of bloggers, all enjoying mocktails and (hopefully) the sunshine. After the success of the masterclass earlier in the year, we really wanted to share it with more people! This is the kind of event I always want in my calendar – a chance to have Bubble tea and hang out with friends.

I went to Bubble Boba (who make bubble tea and bubble waffles) to try out some of their new drinks before the event. They’re incredible (as always), and I can’t wait to have other people try them for themselves! I’ve loved Bubble Boba since they opened, and I’m so excited for the mocktail party.

These are the kinds of things I’ve decided I’m going to spend my free time doing. Sipping Bubble tea and taking it easy. Before I agree to do anything now, my instant response will be, will I enjoy it? Will I regret not doing it? If the answer is no, I’m going to be sure to take some time for myself instead!

Trying Bubble Boba’s amazing new Bubble tea concoctions is always fun. There are so many to try but this time I chose two of the mocktails (Summer nights and Tropical Paradise) and one of the new “drink of the day” mocktails – Pina Colada! They were so refreshing, as always I gulped them down and went back for more. I had cantaloupe popping bubbles for the first time too and they’re now my firm favourite! (Ohhh, now I want to go back right this minute…)

There are even more new and exciting projects for me on the horizon that I know I’ll love! I just had my debut as a guest on BBC Radio’s The C Word, and I’m going to potentially be writing for a magazine soon! I’m just going to try to focus on filling my 30th year with happiness, experiences I’ll enjoy and taking regular breaks (while enjoying some summer mocktails at Bubble Boba in the process!).

  1. I’m so sorry to hear you’re not feeling great and burned out! If you ever need to talk I’m just a message away. Hopefully the next few months will help you get your mojo back! It sounds like you have some exciting things happening and I look forward to seeing what you get up to ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. I LOVED the blog event for Bubble Boba last night and I just had so much fun! So much fun that I feel like I didn’t get enough blog related photos due to it. ๐Ÿ˜›

The new mocktail collection is so good and also a really good idea too! I think it’s something different to mix up the flavours as I feel like I haven’t seen that yet when it comes down to bubble tea places.

I can’t even decide which of the mocktail collection was my favourite because they were all so yummy. ๐Ÿ˜›

    • Eeee, I’m glad you had fun – and that the pictures I took of you mean you’ve got enough for a blog post! If not, then I’ve got plenty more of everything <3
