When visiting Harry Potter Studios last year, I realised I was a WIZARD at Harry Potter Trivia. I know so much about this fictional world (considering I can’t remember what happened last week…) and so I decided to use my knowledge to help spark interesting events in my local community.
This week I had the privilege of meeting Hilary from Craftiv8 – a company focused on bringing new and innovative ways of crafting into the mainstream. When I met Hilary at a local craft fair, the thing that drew me to them newest development- Galactic Plastic!
I know that I am super ahead of the trend ‘n’ all that, but when I found out that the Pantone of the Year was Ultraviolet, I just jumped for joy. Last year’s Pantone, Luminous Green just wasn’t my thing, (but anyway that’s so 2017.)
After having an Ultraviolet blog theme and tons of galaxy-laden clothes for my whole life, the trend setters have finally caught up with me… and designers are going mad for the colour and it’s space-like associations!
So here are just a few reasons why I love this Ultraviolet Pantone of the Year!
It’s not very often that I spontaneously post mid-week! I tend to schedule my time to the letter, so it’s quite refreshing to write to you on a whim – I’ll definitely need to do this more often.
Comedy Night at BackHaus, Coventry
The reason I thought I’d crack open my notebook today is that yesterday I attended the first ever comedy night at Backhaus&Co. (What better way to spend a Tuesday evening?) The event was superb, especially for an opening night, and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment!
Anyone else buy heck-loads of books just for them to collect dust on a shelf? Only every book-lover I know, and I am no exception to this. There are just so many books I like the look of that I don’t get time to read them all.
I always have a book in hand but it means the ones that I buy in between fall through the cracks in my attention span. So this year, I have decided to give myself the goal of reading at least 10 books that are not (yet) part of my book club schedule.
Here is my definitive guide of books to read in 2018 and hopefully with any luck I will finish them and do mini-reviews on them later in the year! At least, that’s the plan…
