2017 in general has been one of the best years ever, fuelled in part to my blog. Not including all the life events I’ve been through this year, my blog has allowed me to set myself goals, think about my photography and find new places to explore! So let’s take a look back on my year’s blogging highlights!
I will be next writing to you in February!
I am on hiatus for January; a chance to get creative, do some prep to get ahead and get some goals completed! This year has been non-stop and I feel like a break to recuperate is in order… (Unless I get bored and want to post, which is just as likely!)
So without further ado, here are just a few of the blogging highlights of my year…
Starting up my mini-bucket list
I gave myself goals to complete in the next 2 years, before I turn 30. I have managed to accomplish 9 of my 30 objectives set for myself, but need to step up my game over the next year and a half! Have you set yourself any goals for the New Year?
Representing Ravenclaw
I have done SO MANY Harry Potter related things this year that it’s made me super happy, and ready to continue again next year. I will be hosting a Harry Potter discussion group in the Big Comfy Bookshop – would love to see you there if you’re a local!
Heading off to Romania
This was easily one of the weirdest journeys of my life but it made me want to explore the world even more. Even a place that I visited in the worst circumstances fuelled my drive to research and visit places I don’t know much about. (Once my terrible mood wore off.)
Collaborating with Awesome Locals
My collabs with local people have been a great way of exploring other people’s creative outlets, like my interview with artist Angus Medford and feminist infographic with Lizzie, and also guest posting for businesses like Fargo Village has been brilliant too. I want to make sure I fill next year with more of the same.
Making Travel Guides
It’s so much fun to make alternative/nerdy travel guides and reviews. Places like Brighton, Amsterdam and even just the National Space Centre. My year has been so full of interesting and vibrant things and I can’t wait for what’s in store next year…
Exploring Space and Science
I have really enjoyed all my science and astronomy related blogging – it’s something I would really love to focus more on next year! Although my blog is based around my love of all things space related, it seems to be headed in a different direction now. I’d like to stick more to my roots!
So what IS in store for 2018?
More Travel
Switzerland is booked, Estonia is in the planning and Iceland is one of my goals for this year! Fingers crossed that these all happen and I can share my experiences with you all.
Potter-More
I will be going to see The Cursed Child in May – it cannot come quickly enough! I am going to try to attend as many Harry Potter events as possible – and also as I mentioned above, start my own Harry Potter discussion group! Eek.
Just … More!
That’s a wrap on blogging highlights! It’s been a great year so full of amazing outings and adventures that I wanted to thank all my collaborators and friends – here’s to a fabulous 2018.
Until next time,
Amy

Having a break at the behind g of the year sounds like a good idea. Getting involved with locals sounds good as well! Can’t wait to see your posts next year and see you at the discussion group!
7th January 2018
Yay for all of your blogging highlights! Especially when it comes to all of the Harry Potter related things this year. Can’t wait to see what you do in 2018!
